Description:
Highly motivated candidate to work on rodent and in vitro studies focused on autoimmune disorders of the nervous system including cancer (paraneoplastic) and non cancer
related diseases (encephalitides associated with immune responses against synaptic proteins).
Several of these novel neuroimmune disorders were discovered and described by this laboratory
which serves as an international center for the referral of patient material for study. This work
involves collaboration with research programs throughout the world.
Qualifications
PhD in the field of neurosciences or neuroimmunology. Experience with molecular and cellular
biology techniques and small animal surgery (or in vivo animal models). Familiarity with
confocal microscopy is an asset. Must have good oral and written English skills for international
collaborations and want to be part of a interdisciplinary research team and capable of
establishing new methods in the lab as required for the projects
