Advanced Degree for the Hereditary Endocrine Cancer Group

The Hereditary Endocrine Cancer Group (http://ift.tt/2DPmZqd), within the CNIO Human Cancer Genetics Programme, is seeking a Bioinformatician to work in cancer pharmacogenomics. The project associated to this position is focused on the identification of renal cell carcinoma predictive markers using next generation sequencing technologies. For this purpose, tumor samples will be sequenced using targeted panels and whole exome sequencing to identify somatic SNVs, indels, copy number alterations and translocations. In addition, we will also generate transcriptome, miRNome and methylome data from cell lines in which specific candidate genes have been knockout (generated by Crispr/Cas9 technologies). We are seeking the incorporation of a bioinformatician to develop and implement applications to accelerate these studies.
