Postdoctoral Research Assistant for the Growth Factors, Nutrients and Cancer Group

The Growth Factors, Nutrients and Cancer Group, within the Cancer Cell Biology Programme at CNIO, is looking for a postdoctoral candidate to work on mechanisms of liver diseases, bile acid metabolism and cancer. The successful candidate for this position has a keen interest in mouse engineering, mouse work and genetics, and biochemistry and cell biology. Candidates for the postdoc position must hold a PhD in any related field of biomedicine. Female scientists are encouraged to apply to balance the gender disparity.

Se Requiere

• PhD degree in biomedicine or any related field.
• Strong experience in the field of liver diseases, hepatocellular carcinoma and bile acid metabolism.
• Have worked and published in the field of liver dysfunctions and cancer.
• Have one publication in the field of liver disease and cancer in international recognized journal with impact factor > than 11.
• At least 2 first authors publications and several co-authors papers in international journals, with at least one top class paper in the field of liver disease and cancer.
• At least 2 first authors publications and several co-authors papers in international journals.
• Have obtained several best awards and fellowships will be highly valued.
• Technical skills:
Mouse engineering to specifically study liver diseases and liver cáncer. Mouse work to specifically study liver diseases and liver cancer. Isolation of mouse embryos. Biochemistry and cell biology techniques. Some experience with herbal and natural compounds. Some experience on technology. Computer skills with knowledge on MS office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Photoshop, Illustrator, Image J, Oncomine and Statistical analysis: Student’s t-test, log-rank test, Chi-Squared test.
• English is compulsory. The candidate must be fluent in English with excellent communication and writing skills. Speaking and writing other languages with strong knowledge will be highly valued.
